Instrument 01 / Range
How much of you are you allowed to be?
Most of us learn to live inside a narrow band: not dark enough to scare anyone, not bright enough to trigger anyone, and normal enough to keep being received.
The range you are allowed to be
Move each control to explore the range.
Current range
The acceptable middle
Matching. Maintaining. Normal enough to be received.
What you just touched
Your safety may have become too small for you.
The acceptable middle can protect you from rejection. It can also protect you from ever being fully seen.
If you can’t be who you really are, you’re not actually safe. You’re performing safety.
The answer is not to blow up your life, abandon your relationships, and start expressing every unfiltered impulse at the grocery store. The answer is to create more safety for more of you.

Where does your range collapse?
What becomes possible
More range now. More room for future you. Every time you let yourself play a little bigger, your future self inherits a bigger playground.
Eventually, freedom can begin to feel safer than shrinking—and once you can feel that difference in your body, it gets much harder to crawl back into a smaller version of yourself.
